1. About this policy

This policy explains how SpiderIT Ltd, trading as Spider Agency (“we”, “us”, “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies on spideragency.co.uk. For more about how we use personal data, please read our Privacy Policy.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. They help the website work, remember your choices and, if you agree, tell us how the website is used. Similar technologies, such as tracking scripts and pixels, work in the same way and are covered by this policy.

3. Your choices

When you first visit our website, a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page. Rejecting cookies will not stop the website working.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

4. The cookies we use

Essential cookies

These are needed for the website to work and to remember your cookie choices, so they do not need your consent.
  • Cookie consent: remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies, for up to 12 months [add the cookie names once the consent banner is installed].
  • WordPress (wordpress_logged_in_, wordpress_sec_): only set for our own team when they log in to manage the website.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_[ID]): tell us how visitors use the website, such as the pages they view and how they found us. They last up to 2 years.
  • Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID): record clicks, scrolling and session replays, with personal details masked, so we can see where the website could be easier to use. They last from 1 day to 1 year.
  • HubSpot (__hstc, hubspotutk, __hssc, __hssrc): help us understand visits and connect enquiries to our customer records. They last from the end of your visit to 6 months.
[Only list the tools that are installed on the new website at launch.]

Marketing cookies

We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies. [If you add an advertising pixel, such as Meta or Google Ads, list it here and include it in the cookie banner before it goes live.]

5. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when we change the tools we use. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.

6. Contact us

If you have any questions about how we use cookies, email hello@spideragency.co.uk or write to us at our registered office: SpiderIT Ltd, 2 Gaynor Close, Wymondham, Norfolk, United Kingdom, NR18 0EA.
